Chalet Roossi Huus 2 is a 1 bedroom holiday apartment which is the perfect choice for casual, relaxed garden-level accommodation in a quiet location with lovely mountain views. And it’s just a short walk to the centre of the family-friendly “car-free” village of Wengen!
This apartment sleeps up to 4 people:
Bedroom 1 = 1 double king-size bed
Common spaces - 2 double sofa beds
All beds are European sizes.
Bathroom 1 = bathtub with shower overhead and WC
Apartment location - being just a 350m walk to the train station, 300m to the nearest supermarket and 450m to the cable car and nursery ski slopes, mountain hiking trails and ski areas are just a few steps away! There is even a lift to get you to all floors!
Recently built, with traditional Swiss touches, it is modern and bright with a south-facing terrace and access to a private garden. The spacious open-plan kitchen, with its clean lines and granite countertops, is equipped with a dishwasher and all appliances and cooking items for the holiday gourmet!
The living room is relaxed and inviting with free WiFi, cable TV (plus enhanced channels) and a DVD player and iPhone/iPod speakers.
Making the most of the space, there is a top-quality queen-sized pull-down bed stowed in cabinetry in the living room. This offers an additional sleeping option along with the king-size bed in the large double bedroom. Radiant under-floor heating throughout the apartment adds cosiness and warmth.

What you should know...
Although Wengen is a "car-free" mountain village, arriving by car is no problem. There is a large multi-storey car park at Lauterbrunnen train station, with trolleys for your luggage and lifts to the station platforms. It is just a 14-minute scenic cog train ride up to Wengen. The trains depart every 30 minutes until 9.30 pm and then hourly. Taxis are available for hire at Wengen train station if required.
For those planning to explore the Jungfrau region, we at Wengen Apartments offer the convenience of purchasing tickets on your behalf. Please contact us before your arrival to arrange this service.
Please note that there is no washing machine available for use in this chalet. But there is a self-service laundromat in the village just a 5-minute (350m) walk away.

We stayed at the Roossi Huss apartment in September 2013 & were really impressed - it is a great location just a few minutes walk from the town (and it is, not miles as you often find plus it is on the right side of the town for an excellent supermarsee more
We stayed at the Roossi Huss apartment in September 2013 & were really impressed - it is a great location just a few minutes walk from the town (and it is, not miles as you often find plus it is on the right side of the town for an excellent supermarket just at the top of the hill). The apartment is really well kept it looks quite new and when we arrived we were surprised to find how large it was, better than the pictures, especially the bedroom. It has everything you need in it, even a dishwasher and choice of TV channels. The views are stunning and the balcony area is a real bonus. As non-skiers we would highly recommend it for walking breaks as the location is such a good base.

Nicely and comfortably furnished with all amenities, no complaints. Appartment also has a ski room at the train station (which is directly opposite the ski lift), so you dont have to carry your skies home every day. It is 5 mins easy walk on paved wasee more

We actually came here for the second year. We were 2 adults and 2 kids (aged 5 and 7). Wengen is a nice, small, cosy little village. You can walk everything in the village no cars allowed actually. That is a big difference and big plus vs Grindelwald which is so spread, you will ride the carbus for every croissant. Wengen is reachable from the Lauterbrunnen valley (big parking house) via a train (every 30 mins) while this sounds uncomfortable, it is really well managable even with luggage for 2 kids and 4 pair of skis. |
