Just a 3-minute (230m) level walk from the train station and 5 minutes (350m) from the cable car, access to mountain hiking and ski areas is literally on your doorstep!
The apartment sleeps 4 - 6 people:
Bedroom 1 = 1 double king-sized bed
Bedroom 2 = 2 single / twin beds
Living room = 1 double sofa bed
Bathroom 1 = ensuite with bathtub and shower overhead and WC
Bathroom 2 = shower and WC
Apartment location - just a 3-minute (230m) level walk to the train station and village centre, 180m to the nearest supermarket and 5 minutes (350m) to the cable car and nursery ski slopes.
Chalet Am Acher 3 is spacious and bright with a sunny southern aspect and a large southwest-facing covered balcony. The spacious open-concept living, dining and kitchen area is the perfect gathering place, making it easy to cook, eat, entertain and relax all in one space!
Warm your toes in front of a roaring fire in the Swedish wood burner while enjoying a glass of wine and some fine Swiss cheeses after a day of hiking or skiing. Or simply soak in the exquisite panoramic views of the Jungfrau, Breithorn, Tschingelhorn and Gspaltenhorn from the floor-to-ceiling windows or while dining al fresco on the balcony.
The well-equipped kitchen is sleek and new, and the modern bathrooms are immaculate. Whether in winter or summer, this apartment is a superb option for an attractive laid-back base from which to experience all that Wengen has to offer.

What you should know...
Although Wengen is a "car-free" mountain village, arriving by car is no problem. There is a large multi-storey car park at Lauterbrunnen train station, with trolleys for your luggage and lifts to the station platforms. It is just a 14-minute scenic cog train ride up to Wengen. The trains depart every 30 minutes until 9.30 pm and then hourly. Taxis are available for hire at Wengen train station if required.
For those planning to explore the Jungfrau region, we at Wengen Apartments offer the convenience of purchasing tickets on your behalf. Please contact us before your arrival to arrange this service.
There is access to the higher street level behind the chalet by taking the lift to the 3rd floor. From there, it is a more level walk into central Wengen.
As part of your booking, a mandatory non-refundable damage waiver of CHF 35 is required. This waiver offers you protection against accidental damage during your stay, ensuring peace of mind without the need for a traditional refundable security deposit.

We loved everything about Chalet Am Acher 3 and our experience with Julie Doyle, owner of Wengen Apartments. Julie promptly responded to all communications & the rental process was efficient & seamless. She was a dream to work with. The apartment was spotless, nicely decorated, had comfortable beds, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could imagine. The views are amazing & the apartment has a very convenient location. We could easily walk to the train station, cable car, and to the center of Wengen for the many restaurants & shopping. We highly recommend Wengen Apartments for your rental needs & the apartment Chalet Am Acher 3.

Just wrapped up our third stay at this beautiful flat in four years, and hope to enjoy more stays in the future. The flat is in splendid shape: very clean, very well kept up, and very comfortable. The large living room has plenty of space to stretch see more
Just wrapped up our third stay at this beautiful flat in four years, and hope to enjoy more stays in the future. The flat is in splendid shape: very clean, very well kept up, and very comfortable. The large living room has plenty of space to stretch out, while the kitchen/dining area has a large table, and a granite countertop island that has proved very convenient. The bedrooms are very comfortably sized with lots of closet space. We personally enjoyed eating meals on the balcony (obviously we're summer visitors!) The flat is quite close to the train station, and to shops in town. Swiss Maid Services is superb: responsive, friendly, honest and efficient, and Julie is especially kind.
