What you should know...
Although Wengen is a "car-free" mountain village, arriving by car is no problem. There is a large multi-storey car park at Lauterbrunnen train station, with trolleys for your luggage and lifts to the station platforms. It is just a 14-minute scenic cog train ride up to Wengen. The trains depart every 30 minutes until 9.30 pm and then hourly. Taxis are available for hire at Wengen train station, which is recommended when you arrive with luggage.

A dream Penthouse.Spectacular views.Furnishings were of a very high standard.Only downside, which may annoy guests, is the music from the Brunner Ski bar in the afternoon.

We had a terrific visit at the Chalet Brunner. Having been to Wengen several times in the past, staying at this property was a treat. Beautifully appointed. Everything you need. Exceptional views showcased by the sleek, uncluttered decor which allowed you to make it feel like your temporary home. Julie and her staff were exceptionally welcoming, professional and organized. Sure, it's an uphill walk near the end of the village, so manage your expectations, get a taxi for your luggage on arrival and by day 2 you'll hardly notice it. We will be back!

We have stayed in this apartment for the last several years with our family of teenagers and absolutely love it. It is in a stunning location and is ski-in-ski-out located on the run back into the town from Allmend, and is an easy ski down to the Masee more
We have stayed in this apartment for the last several years with our family of teenagers and absolutely love it. It is in a stunning location and is ski-in-ski-out located on the run back into the town from Allmend, and is an easy ski down to the Mannlichen cable car/Wengen station in the morning. The views from the apartment are stunning, with a balcony to two of the bedrooms facing long-distance views of the town below, and from the main living space facing towards the ski-run home, and also providing distant views of Murren. We think it's the perfect spot. Julie and her team are absolutely brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. Over the years we have stayed in a number of Julie's rental apartments and they have all been amazing, clean, well looked after, and lovely properties to stay in.

This Penthouse has everything you could possibly need. The rooms are spacious and having 3 bathrooms makes life much easier. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and having dinner with those awesome views! Hire a taxi upon arrival to Wengen to transporsee more

We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and having dinner with those awesome views! Hire a taxi upon arrival to Wengen to transport your luggage. We ignored that advice and our fit crew was surprised how hard it was on our arrival day. It's much easier without luggage and jet lag. My only regret was not staying longer! Truly paradise!

The double beds have only 2 single duvets on them. It would be MUCH nicer to have a double duvet. The decor is a bit bleak. I think the black and red looks a bit 70s - how about softening the decor with some throws/skins.

Brunner 6 is a very well-outfitted and stunning penthouse. The feeling of spaciousness is significantly greater than many other penthouses due to the high ceilings, good placement of the requisite beams (well, okay, there is one beam in the kitchen that you have to look out for), and outrageous windows and sliding doors (which are amazing!) There are multiple decks including one that spans the entire length of the enormous great room and has very nice outdoor seating and dining table for at least 8 people. The kitchen is stocked with everything one needs to prepare meals, has a large refrigerator, and excellent high end appliances. The new owner has graciously opened the unit's private laundry for use by visitors which saves the trips up and down to the basement laundry utilized by other units in the chalet. This makes a huge difference and is rather unique in all of Wengen.
The service provided by Julie Doyle and her team is just fantastic. She is super-attentive, responsive, and gracious. Even when the visitors do silly and very inconvenient things! I managed to lock myself out quite late one night (not realizing that the main entry door to the entire chalet automatically locks at 10:00 pm) and she quickly got a key and let me in. We have stayed at Brunner Penthouse now 4 times and look forward to returning again and again. |

This rental unit was perfect for our family. The apartment had everything needed and was very clean and in excellent condition. The views from the house were so gorgeous. We were lucky enough to have one day with clear blue skies and we had amazing vsee more
This rental unit was perfect for our family. The apartment had everything needed and was very clean and in excellent condition. The views from the house were so gorgeous. We were lucky enough to have one day with clear blue skies and we had amazing views of the mountains from the deck and from inside the great room where a huge door slides open to the deck. The train goes by a short ways away which was fun to watch and three cows lived nearby and we enjoyed hearing the tinkle of their bells. The beds were firm but comfortable with feather comforters. There were abundant closets and shelves throughout. The only caution for this home is that it is a 10 minute walk up hill from the train station which wasn't a problem for us but it would not be easy for people with mobility issues. Julie from the Wengen Apartments rental company kept in touch with us regularly and gave good instructions for arrival and sent information about activities going on in the area during our stay, which we appreciated and used. This was one of the best rental experiences we have had in our travels. I would recommend them highly!
